Heavy-Duty Commercial LPG Gas Cylinder
Engineered for LPG Bottling Plants, Commercial Distributors, and Industrial Fleets
Product Overview & Selection Matrix
Commercial operations require pressure vessels that endure high-frequency transport, aggressive site handling, and rigorous filling cycles. Our commercial LPG cylinders are fabricated from killed carbon steel plates, utilizing automated submerged arc welding (SAW) and rigorous post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) to eliminate residual stress.
Built to international technical standards, these cylinders serve regional gas distribution networks, commercial kitchens, and industrial heating applications.

Material & Manufacturing Process
Durability starts at the metallurgical level. We control every phase of production within our certified facility:
Plate Selection: Fabricated from deep-drawing quality killed carbon steel coils (grades HP295 / SG295 / P350GH), verified via mill test certificates (MTR) for chemical composition (controlled carbon and manganese equivalents) and tensile strength.
Deep Drawing: Hydraulic presses form the upper and lower shell halves under controlled tonnage, preventing wall thinning and micro-fissures at critical curvature zones.
Automatic Welding: Circumferential and longitudinal seams are joined using multi-pass Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) or Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) robots, ensuring full penetration and smooth weld profiles.
Normalizing Heat Treatment: Entire welded assemblies undergo thermal treatment in a continuous roller-hearth furnace at 900 deg C to relieve residual mechanical stresses and normalize crystal grain structures.
Surface Preparation & Coating: Shot-blasting to Sa 2.5 standard removes mill scale. Electrostatic powder coating or zinc-rich epoxy primer followed by UV-resistant polyurethane topcoat provides high resistance to salt spray and chemical corrosion.
Quality Assurance & Testing Protocol
Every production lot undergoes destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) adhering to ISO 4706 and EN 1442 specifications:
Radiographic Testing (RT) & Ultrasonic Testing (UT): 100 percent inspection of critical weld seams to detect internal voids or inclusions.
Hydrostatic Proof Pressure Testing: Each vessel is pressurized to 1.5 times the maximum allowable working pressure (e.g., 3.2 MPa) for a minimum of 30 seconds to verify structural elasticity and zero permanent volumetric expansion.
Burst Testing: Destructive batch testing conducted on sample cylinders at 4x working pressure to ensure ductile failure margins rather than brittle fracture.
Leak Detection: Pneumatic testing under water immersion at 1.0 MPa after valve assembly insertion.
Thread & Valve Torque Verification: Go/No-Go gauges check 3/4-14NGT or specific regional valve threads to guarantee gas-tight seals.
Application Identification Guide
Selecting the correct cylinder configuration depends on your operating environment and withdrawal requirements:
Commercial Kitchens & Hospitality: 35kg to 50kg vapor-withdrawal cylinders equipped with standard safety relief valves and protective collars, designed for stable gas delivery to high-BTU burners.
Forklift Material Handling: Specialized liquid-withdrawal cylinders featuring internal dip tubes and quick-connect fittings, mounted horizontally or vertically on industrial trucks.
Industrial Metal Cutting & Heating: High-capacity 45kg cylinders paired with dual-stage regulators to support continuous high-flow propane requirements for fabrication shops.
Compliance & Certifications
To support seamless customs clearance and regulatory compliance in your target market, our manufacturing lines hold the following accreditations:
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification.
ISO 4706 / EN 1442 / DOT-4BA Design and Manufacturing Compliance.
Third-Party Inspection Reports: Available on request from independent agencies such as TUV, SGS, or Bureau Veritas for every export batch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the standard minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom-branded cylinders?
A: The standard MOQ for custom color-coding, embossed company logos, and specific collar marking is one 40-foot high-cube container (40'HQ), which typically accommodates 350 to 450 units of 47L/50L cylinders depending on palletization patterns.
Q: Can you supply cylinders with pre-installed valves and guards?
A: Yes. Cylinders can be delivered completely fitted with brass LPG valves (POL, Shell, or compact formats) equipped with Pressure Relief Valves (PRV) or excess flow check valves, torqued to specification and vacuum-sealed with protective caps.
Q: What documentation is provided with each shipment?
A: Each shipment includes full material traceability documentation: Mill Test Certificates (MTR) for the steel plates, batch heat treatment curves, radiographic inspection reports, and official third-party inspection certificates required for local statutory registration.
Q: What are the standard payment and shipping terms?
A: We generally accept T/T (30 percent deposit, 70 percent balance against copy of Bill of Lading) and irrevocable L/C at sight. Shipping terms are negotiated on FOB, CFR, or CIF basis out of major export ports.
